Week 8 Thing #19

Sky Layers by Google earth was a super interesting and semi-creepy site! I couldn’t believe how many different ways which I could see my house, my grandfathers house, and my favorite Colorado vacation spots. However in terms of applying this technology my classroom, it would be so cool to show students panda refugees when we do our reading unit on A Little Panda. We could also look at pictures in real time of San Francisco when we read a story about two young girls growing up. I think that this could be a great way to set up our lesson so that students are engaged from the get go.
